Sadly, Marilynne Bloome Prupas passed away on May 17, 2009. Marilynne had been in poor health for some time following a bone marrow transplant to treat leukemia.

Marilynne was the co-author, with Linda Rosenfeld, of the book "Left Alive: After a Suicide Death in the Family," in 1984. Marilynne had been living in Vancouver for many years where her husband, David, is President of Richards Packaging. One of Marilynne's sons, Jeremy Prupas, is Chief Veterinarian of Los Angeles Animal Services.

Marilynne learned about the MRHS Class of 1964 website on the evening of February 7, 2009, and called the next morning to say that she had so much enjoyed learning about what MRHS classmates were doing that she had stayed up to 3 a.m. reading everything on the site.

Here is a copy of Marilynne's obituary as published in the Montreal Gazette on May 21, 2009:

PRUPAS, Marilynne (nee Bloome) Peacefully, after a long illness borne with grace, surrounded by family and friends, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2009. A private memorial gathering will take place on Friday, May 22 in Vancouver.
