Obituary photo of Beverley Cox

Beverley's entry in the 1964 Torch said her ambition was to be "a nurse at the M.G.H." I don't know if she achieved that ambition but, if not, she came close. A Guestbook entry on her obituary page recounts working with Beverley at the Montreal Children's Hospital.

Beverley Anne Cox Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Beverley Anne Cox, 78, of Montreal, Quebec, on Sunday, April 6th, 2025, at The Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal after a tough fight with pneumonia.

She was born 1946 August 19th to John Kenneth Elwood Cox and Jean Beverley (MacKay) Cox in Toronto, Ontario. At 6 years of age, her family moved to Montreal. She spent much time in hospital, which made her very appreciative of the care she received there.

Beverley trained as a nurse at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, Graduation Class of 1968. She followed her passion for nursing, working in Orthopedics at the Montreal Children's Hospital. Her colleagues remember her for her energy, compassion and dedication to the profession.

She loved family, travelling and animals, and combined these passions whenever possible.

Beverley is survived by her brother William (Lourdes), nephew Kenneth (Shanti), niece Deborah (Andrew) and grand nephews Freddy and Lenny.

She was preceded in death by her parents and many cherished aunts and uncles.

Her family has arranged a Service of Thanksgiving for our beloved Beverley to be held on June 2nd at 11:00 at St. John's York Mills Anglican Church in North York with Reverend Richard Webb officiating. Livestreaming will be arranged for her friends from out of town.

Interment will follow at St, John's.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the SPCA.
