Lynne at Linda Nixon Trippel's wedding, October 7, 1967
After graduating from MRHS in 1964, Lynne trained as a Registered Nursing Assistant (LPN Licensed Practical Nurse) at the Catherine Booth Hospital in NDG. After training, Lynne was hired to work at the Lakeshore General Hospital which had just opened. Lynne lived in an apartment in Pointe Claire with Linda Nixon (MRHS 1964) and another nursing friend, Moreen. A year later when Moreen was to be married and moved out, Lynne and Linda moved back to their homes in TMR.
On February 23, 1968, while Lynne was driving on the Trans Canada Highway on her way to work, there was a car accident on the opposite side of the highway. A car crossed the median and and hit Lynne's car. Lynne was gravely injured and passed away in the hospital. Lynne was survived by her parents and sisters Judith, Gail and Heather.
