For many years until he left CBC in the fall of 2008, Don Murray was one of the most prolific of the CBC's foreign correspondents. He filed hundreds of reports in both English and French from Europe, the Middle East, the Soviet Union, and China. Don lives in London, England.

During his 30 years with CBC, Murray covered many major stories, including the beginnings of liberalizing of the Soviet Union and its collapse. Don is also an author, having written "A Democracy of Despots," in which he discusses the collapse and the rebirth of Russia. While stationed in Berlin, Don covered the peace agreement ending the war in Bosnia. In London, he reported on the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, and the peace agreement in Northern Ireland. Don also wrote "Family Wars," for the International Journal about the violence in Northern Ireland and the war in Bosnia. More recently, Don covered the wars in Kosovo, Afghanistan and Iraq.
