In Memoriam
(The following is part of an email from David's younger brother, Lee Pollock, to Audrey Mittler Korey, who was kind enough to track Lee down.)
Thanks for your nice words about David. It has been a long time since he passed away (35 years) and since I left Montreal (1971) so it is that much nicer to hear of classmates and friends who remember him. I did look at the website and it is impressive detective work, given how our generation of Montrealers has scattered around North America! Surely not possible but for the internet.
After graduating from T.M.R. High, David took 12th grade at Montreal High School and then attended Sir George Williams University. After graduating from Sir George, David moved to Paris, where he began a career in radio broadcasting. David married a girl from Montreal, Yvette ("Ivy") Ney, who had come to France with him. David developed an interest in Indian philosophy and in 1974 traveled to Madras, India where he studied with a Theosophy school. While living in Madras, he contracted hepatitis and died of liver failure in September 1974, just a few months before his 27th birthday. David and Ivy had planned to move permanently to Los Angeles later in the year and after David's death, she completed the move and became a successful commercial photographer there.
Please feel free to put this information on the website. If anyone who knew David or has any memories of him wishes to contact me via e-mail, I would be happy to hear from them.
Thank you sincerely for thinking of David and for taking the time to be in touch with me—I do appreciate it.

David's widow, Ivy Ney, was kind enough to send us several photos of David from which the three shown on this page were selected.
