Trevor Sevigny
In Memoriam
Trevor and Kathy Sevigny.
Sadly, Trevor passed away suddenly in 2000.
Trevor and I were married in 1972 and stayed in Montreal. Trevor went on to get his B.A. in Sociology at Concordia and worked for Bell Canada for 25 years before his retirement in 1998. We had two children—a girl and a boy who were very special to Trevor. Our daughter, Jacqueline lives in Ottawa and our son, Marc in Guelph, ON. Both are married but have no children yet.
Trevor did a lot of volunteer work with the Scouts, our local football association and his church which he enjoyed immensely. He always preached to the kids that one had to give back to the community.
Trevor's family owned a house in Arundel, QC so we spent a lot of weekends there or in the Eastern Townships where my parents lived. We travelled quite a bit—south on March breaks and more locally during the summers.
I was a teacher with the P.S.B.G.M. (now the E.M.S.B.) for 36 years and retired in 2007. Although teaching was my passion, I am loving retirement and keep myself busy with my dog and children.
Trevor and I were very happy together and although I miss him terribly, I can honestly say I was luckier than most to have had such a great marriage. He was a very caring and thoughtful husband. The photo was taken in 1997 for our 25th Anniversary.
