Yearbook 2009

1964 Yearbook:
ˆTo sleep, perchance to dream, Ay, there’s the rub”

Photo of Tom Vandor and his dog

In actual fact it was “the rub” for over 20 years of delivering babies and giving anaesthetics in the wee hours of the night.

Origin: No change—born only one time, same place, same time.
Favorite Expression: Not “What’s the difference?” as in 1964. But “Make a difference in whatever you do”
Pet Aversion:  People who are pretentious
Unrecorded History: It will remain so.
Ambition: To blend a healthy family life with a satisfying professional life.
Probable destination:  I think I can safely say, thanks to my wonderful wife Shirley, so far so good. And thanks also to all the kids

Job wise: a country doctor with 32 years in the same community and counting. The patients keep on coming to see me—so that’s a good sign I think.

Activities:

Tom: Work, family, play, eat, cut grass, renovate, stars, read—and of course sometimes sleep.
Shirley: Home,  Rockbridge Preserves ( home made jam business) , Co-director of Barrie Memorial Hospital fund raising committee, Community Volunteer.
Amanda: Wife, mother, nurse & Nik: Husband, father, computer engineer
Doug: Canadian Olympic lightweight rower
Tim: Works for Fed Ex & wife Karine works for Jacobs
Andrew: Canadian Armed Forces, & wife Sebrina, pregnant & works for La Senza

Oh Yea—I nearly forgot our Dogtor Cassius  who does rounds with me on weekends
