Hi everyone, this is a photo of me and my husband, Colin, taken at Christmas 2019 just before the Initial COVID 19 lockdown.
We sold our Don Mills, Toronto home of 29 years in 2019 and moved downtown into a condo. Loving it, but missed the back garden during all the lockdowns. Colin and I have been happily together for 45 years, and will be celebrating our 40th anniversary this December.
It’s very difficult to sum up a life experience of 58 years since MRHS in a couple of paragraphs! Family first – we are a blended family with three children and four grandchildren (so far). Colin and I both have daughters from our first marriages and we have a son together. Jennifer has two girls, Katelyn 18 and Alyssa 13, just now graduated from high school and middle school, respectively. They live in Thornhill just north of Toronto. Heather and Wesley have two boys, Jonathan 17 and Christopher 16. They live in New Westminster, B.C. Jamie is living the single life in Toronto as a musician and manager at Island Air. Colin and Jamie, both private pilots, love flying their Piper Cherokee 180.
After Mount Allison, I spent a number of years teaching with my husband in Gaspe and the Magdalen Islands before moving to Toronto in 1976 (at the end of our marriage) with three-year-old Jennifer. A new career then began in banking and insurance where I progressed to Director level, followed by four years at a large consulting firm, a couple of years in the public service sector, and then as Project Manager for the technology vendor on a “bleeding edge” project in the derivatives back office for a large Canadian bank. In 1994, I co-founded and acted as President of Workflow Solutions Group until 1998, when I left to found my own consulting company, Flying in Formation, from which I retired in 2012. Colin also retired in 2012 from his home renovation contracting company.
